The Omron CIMR-L7C is an inverter for lift model.
It is designed for electrical systems or industrial machinery. Also, it can drive permanent magnet motors and induction motors.
The L7 is safe and follows all international guidelines. It meets the standards EN 61800-3:1996 and EN 61800-3; A11:2000.
There are various models in the 200V class available to deal with different rated AC currents, dimensions, and weights. The maximum voltage is 3-phase 240 VAC. For safe operation, the unit should be kept at a maximum temperature of 45 °C. The weight range is 3.7 to 55 kW.
You can also benefit from different models in the 400V class. In these cases, the maximum voltage is 3-phase 480 VAC. Also, the ambient temperature is 45 °C. The weight range for this series is 4 to 55 kW.
The L7 is made to drive lifts. There is one model to control AC and PM motors. A strong feature is the unit’s silent operation with no current de-rating. Additionally, this inverter meets all current safety standards including EN 954-1 & EN81-1.
Motor auto-tuning is available at a standstill and a run.
The Omron L7 benefits from 3 control methods:
- Closed-loop current vector control
- Sensorless current vector control
- V/F control
Another benefit of the unit is the direct control of the motor brake and contactors. Also, there is an integrated dedicated lift sequence. The unit benefits from emergency operation by UPS or battery.
Other features include a second motor setting, sort floor operation, and a door opening signal. Also, electrical motor information is saved on the encoder and the inverter. Additionally, PLC functionality is embedded with a PLC option card.
There are 3 Fieldbus choices:
- DeviceNet
- CANOpen
- PROFIBUS
Furthermore, CX-drive is the PC configuration tool. There are CE, UL, and cUL marking ratings
